About: Developed by an Irish Concrete Society education sub-committee, this 3 half day hybrid course will cover major topics and themes to give delegates an an invaluable introduction to concrete technology.

Concrete Technology and Construction Stage 1 Exam
Fundamentals of Concrete Technology delegates have the option of proceeding to take the Institute of Concrete Technology’s (ICT.) CT&C Stage 1 exam. Delegates who are successful in the CT&C Stage 1 exam are eligible for ICT Technician membership and use the associated designatory letters TechICT.
The exam is held under strict ICT examination rules, invigilated by a senior member of the academic community and assisted by Society Staff. Scripts are sealed and sent directly to the ICT for marking.
The Irish Concrete Society is a recognised course provider for ICT Stage 1 examinations.

About: The Concrete Ticket was developed by an Irish Concrete Society established panel of academic and industry experts to provide delegates with essential information on concrete materials and properties, including requirements for ordering and delivery of ready-mixed concrete.
Who should attend: This course has been specifically designed and developed for the ‘concrete worker’, those who are responsible for receiving, transporting, placing and finishing concrete after its arrival on site, or in precast production. The Concrete Ticket course will also benefit anyone involved in the manufacture, dispatch or transport of ready mixed concrete.
Course Content:
- Part 1 – Materials, Properties and Reinforcement
- Part 2 – Ordering, Production, Delivery and Formwork
- Part 3 – Placing, Compacting and Finishing
- Part 4 – Curing, Production and Joints
Each part is followed by a short multiple choice question test.
Course Delivery:
The course is delivered online and on-demand.
Certificate:
Successful delegates are awarded the Concrete Ticket Certificate, which is valid for 5 years.
Duration: The online course takes approximately 2 hours to complete. The course can be accessed at any time and is designed to be completed in your own time.

Specification: The Concrete Ticket is a requirement of TII’s Concrete Specification for both Execution and Production. Click here to download the TII (NRA) Specification. The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine recommends that contractors employed to undertake concrete works on farm structures have completed the Concrete Ticket course.
